I had a memorable afternoon tea experience with my upbeat girlfriends here. Apart from exceptional gorgeous view, The Clifford Pier offers distinctively local afternoon tea menu, the set offers a mix of sandwiches, savoury items, assorted pastries, cakes and scones. They are classics with simple flavours.

2. Marriott Cafe in Marriott Hotel Tang Plaza

One of the favourite places in Singapore where husband and I always go to. The Lobby Lounge is the perfect destination for a relaxing day with heartwarming conversations.

The food items are continuously replenished for your full enjoyment coffee and tea selection are unlimited as well. You can switch from coffee to tea or vice versa whenever you like — for 3 hours long!

3. Antoinette in Mandarin Gallery

The restaurant has a contemporary Victorian styled décor with dusty pastel-colored palate, European furniture and of course, intricately made-and-molded sweets and pastries. Choosing cakes to eat is difficult because there are more than 18 different cakes, 12 different flavors of macaroons, traditional French pastries and breads and 24 blends of teas. Savory items are also served, but in main-course menu.

This 26-seater salon de thé is definitely one of the best places in Singapore I enjoyed catching up with friends.

The namesake creation (Antoinette), an earl grey tea chocolate cake, is one of my favourite desserts. Trust me on this, it is that good. If this is your first time trying their cakes, you cannot leave the French patisserie without having it.

4. Wild Honey in Mandarin Gallery

The set of afternoon tea include trio of scones: plain (2), cranberry (1) with house churned honeycomb butter, homemade Devonshire cream and signature homemade preserves plus a choice of any TWG flavours.

“Wild Honey – no place like home” is the restaurant motto. Well, it does feel like home really – wherever home may be. Friends and I had tremendously enjoyed our catch up over afternoon tea experience here!

Time: Available 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Weekdays only (not available on weekends)

Reservation: Wild Honey

5. PS Cafe at Harding

PS. Cafe has many outlets, but the one in Harding Road (Dempsey) in Singapore is my favorite. The ambiance here is lovely and cozy. Although the place is usually packed, it overlooks an open field which gives it that semi-peaceful atmosphere.  This outlet has both indoor, outdoor and lounge seating. I prefer to sit inside, however the outdoor is quite nice as well.

Make sure you request a seat by the window if sitting indoor. Service is very prompt too.

Reservation: PS Cafe @ Harding
